On Thursday night, a stuntman from America’s Got Talent, named Jonathan Goodwin’s, got injured during her stunt when the stunt went wrong.
The clip retrieved shows the stuntman hanging in midair to perform the stunt at the Atlanta Motor Speedway while the two cars were coming together towards him.
If it did not go wrong, the stuntman was supposed to jump and lie on the ground before the cars collided.
Due to a mare miscalculation of timings, the stuntman ended up being crushed in the middle of the collision.
Goodwin, the stuntman, fell on the ground in terrible condition and immediately shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Before current America’s Got Talent season, Goodwin had appeared on the show in season 15.
As per the reports received, the stuntman is still unresponsive. However, he is still holding on to life.
Goodwin went to major surgery after he was taken to the hospital.
A recording of a woman that The U.S. Sun published this Friday says,
‘We are at the Atlanta Motor Speedway at America’s Got Talent filming location. We had a man suspended from a cable with cars that were supposed to slam into each other, and he didn’t drop in time, and they slammed into him.
‘He’s about a 40-year-old white male. He fell about 40 feet. He missed the airbag and landed on his head.’
‘During a rehearsal, last evening for America’s Got Talent: Extreme, an accident occurred in which escape artist Jonathan Goodwin was injured while performing his act,’ said the show in a statement.
‘He was responsive and was immediately taken to the hospital where he is continuing to receive medical care. Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family as we await further updates on his condition.’
As per the publications, California’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health is currently investigating the incident.
