According to the news update, Andrew Garfield has officially declared that he was ‘totally unmodified’ in the Spider-Man suit while his visit on the Late Night With Seth Meyers on Thursday for the promotion of his latest project.
The 38-year-old actor while promoting of the new series Hulu true-crime miniseries Under The Banner Of Heaven was inquired by Seth, 48, about addressing the Spider-Man suit controversy. The series of questions and the entire conversation went like this,
What happened?,’ Andrew asked.
‘Well, he was talking about, you know, there were three Spider-Men in that last movie and you were one of them and he was one of them, and one suit…. Let’s just take a look really quick,’ Seth said.
He then shared a clip of Tom on the talk show saying, ‘I’ll give you a spoiler, and I’m not gonna tell you who, but one of us has a fake ass in their suit.’
‘Really? Wow,’ Seth responded.
‘You can figure that out for yourselves,’ Tom said in the clip.
Andrew laughed while watching his co-star.
‘He’s just stirring the pot, old Tom. He can’t help himself. You know, there’s an expression that we have in entertainment, which is, we want to put bums on seats,’ Andrew said.
‘You know, we want to get the audience sat and paying their tickets, and Tom is pretty great at creating subgenres of games for you all, while you’re in the cinema-going, “Well, that butt doesn’t look real. Tobey’s looks like it might be real. Could Andrew have that much ass? Maybe, potentially”,’ Andrew said referencing their co-star Tobey Maguire, 46.
‘So it seems like we’re not gonna get an answer from you,’ Seth said.
‘All I know is, is that I am totally unmodified, and that’s all I can share. And, I think, Tom is very good at marketing,’ Andrew said.
