As the Israel-Palestine fighting turns into civilian bloodshed, Sen. Bernie Sanders asked the Biden administration to take a “hard look” at the military aid given to Israel by the United States. He took to Twitter to acknowledge the barbarities inflicted on the state of Gaza, calling for an ‘immediate ceasefire.’

“The killing of Palestinians and Israelis must end,” declared Sanders about the current Israel-Palestine fighting. He not only brought attention to the aid given by the US, but also declared it illegal to support a country that is on a massive killing spree.  The U.S is known to contribute a large portion of military aid to Israel, particularly for the Iron Dome anti-missile system.

Sanders has been a critic of Israel for decades. In the 2020 campaign, he proposed the idea of leveraging military aid to Israel for forcing a shift in its policies towards Gaza.

In October 2019, Bernie Sanders offered a ‘solution’ to the problem. The right course, in his opinion, consisted of Israel modifying its relationship with the people of Gaza. He even went on to suggest that a large sum should also “go right now into humanitarian aid.”

‘Barbaric Killing of Palestinians and Israelis Must EndAt present, the Israel-Palestine fighting has taken a drastic turn for the worse. The violence ensued in East Jerusalem last month when Palestinians protested in connection with the Israeli police strategies during the month of Ramadan, and the forced expulsion of hundreds of Palestinian residents by the  Jewish authorities.

These clashes initially took place near the Al Aqsa Mosque, a revered site for both Muslims and Jews in the region. The fighting escalated quickly and soon after, Hamas fired rockets towards Jerusalem on Monday.

Thus began the Israel-Palestine fighting that is still ongoing in full swing- more than 100 Palestine residents have been brutally killed in several airstrikes on Gaza.  The total includes 55 children and 33 women, along with more than 1200 people who were severely wounded.

After the first 1,000 misiles, one could think “Hum, Hamas is starting their rant again.” After the 2000 misiles, you could say “Hum, they keep going on, better recon their claim and reciprocate their action. By the 3000 misiles, One starts to believe “is a matter of survival now, you against me and me against your.
