President Joe Biden has directed all the states to make all adults eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine by May 1. In his first prime-time address on Thursday, after signing the historic American Rescue Plan bill into law, the President claimed that it’s much earlier than expected.
He also claimed that it was not necessary for everyone to get the vaccine shot immediately, but that means everyone can get in line by May 1. He also announced the deployment of 4,000 active-duty personnel to support the vaccination drive.
President Biden directed all states, tribes, and territories to ensure that all the adults 18 or older are eligible to receive the coronavirus vaccine by May 1. He claimed that his administration will make sure that the relevant clinics, vaccine doses, and medical staff are available beforehand to facilitate the general public.
He urged the Americans to get themselves vaccinated and help their family, friends, and community get themselves vaccinated as well. Do your part with sincerity and by July 4, every American will be rewarded with a small celebration of Independence Day.
In his 24-minute-long address, President Biden highlighted the challenges his government had faced to combat the pandemic There are many Americans who are still reluctant to get themselves vaccinated. Biden addressed them to come out of their fear and get themselves vaccinated. His tone was a careful balance between optimism and caution so that the message is delivered to the masses.
About 24% of the adults already have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine. Approximately 10% of the population has been fully vaccinated. The Biden administration plans to administer two million vaccines per day.
Returning to normalcy greatly depends upon the vaccination process. The faster it is conducted; the sooner the country can return to normal operations. The only hurdle in this ambitious goal is the emergence of new strains of the coronavirus.
The scientists have proclaimed that things might turn for the worse because of the resurgence of the new COVID-19 variants that are more deadly than the parent.
The President urged the public to keep on practicing safety measures and the SoPs.
