The inappropriate behavior accusations continue to hound actor Bill Murray as the set of his latest film Being Mortal wraps up because of production suspension.
According to the reports, the Searchlight Pictures announced to halt the production of Bill Murray’s film being immortal which was led by Aziz Ansari because of an inappropriate behavior complaint.
Reports suggested that the film studios officially released a letter to the cast crew that the production has been suspended after receiving a complaint – no details were given in the letter.
“Late last week, we were made aware of a complaint, and we immediately looked into it,” read the letter. “We are truly grateful to all of you for everything you’ve put into this project.”
The reports suggested that the complaints revolved around the alleged behavior of the comedian for which he is already in hot waters.
Being Mortal is a very prolific film starring Aziz Ansari, Seth Rogen, and Keke Palmer. Ansari is also the director and writer of the aid film.
The film is based on “being mortal: medicine and what matters in the end” a non-fictional book published in 2014 which revolved around the life of the doctors, written by the famous surgeon Atul Gawande.
Inappropriate behavior accusations against Bill Murray first surfaced back in July of 2021 when actress Lucy Liu stated in an interview that it was difficult working with the comedian in Charlie’s Angels as he continued to hurl insults toward her while they filmed a scene.
“Some of the language was inexcusable and unacceptable, and I was not going to just sit there and take it,” she said. “So, yes, I stood up for myself, and I don’t regret it. Because no matter how low on the totem pole you may be or wherever you came from, there’s no need to condescend or to put other people down. And I would not stand down, and nor should I have.”
Aziz Ansari had just come out of his self-claimed hiatus after he was accused of sexual misconduct by a former date back in January of 2018. The accuser had announced that Aziz took her to his apartment after a date and forced oral sex after undressing her.
“I know I was physically giving off cues that I wasn’t interested in. I don’t think that was noticed at all, or if it was, it was ignored,” she had stated leading to a heated debate while the #metoo movement was at its peak.
