Katie Thurston‘s and John Hersey’s new romantic relationship has not just startled the Bachelor Nation fans but Blake Moynes as well!
“Blake is blindsided by the news,” about his ex-fiance’s new love relationship with John Hersey, a source revealed.
The reality star has recently unfollowed Thurston on Instagram, however, he is yet to make a public statement about the ongoing events.
Meanwhile, Emily Moynes seems to have picked sides when she liked a fan comment on Instagram that read, “Nah this is terrible on Katie’s part. I feel truly sorry for Blake. In any relationship, you put a sense of ‘trust’ in one another, especially long-distance relationships. There’s no denying the dishonesty and deception for months upon months.”
Thurston, 30, and Hersey, 27 fueled their relationship rumors when The Bachelor star and former bank marketing manager dedicated the “Begin Again” song by Taylor Swift to her partner with whom she spent home during a season of the famous show.
On the final day of the “12 Days of Messy” challenge, a post came out that saw the couple’s on and off romantic moments on the ABC show.
Blake and Thurston got public attention during season 17 of the ABC series, The Bachelorette, when the Canadian-born who previously featured in Tayshia Adams and Clare Crawley, joined the show.
While Blake crashed the show to attempt to win his counterpart’s star, Thurston revealed that the two had met with each other before.
“I definitely knew who he was, which also Tayshia’s ex-boyfriend! So that’s weird,” Thurston said about Blake crashing into her DM’s in June.
“We had chatted before, but usually what happens is, like, the guys will reach out to the women once they’re eliminated and be like, ‘Good luck, you did great.’ Like, very generic, you know? And so to see him, I was like, ‘Why is he here?’ Like, ‘What’s happening?” she continued.
Thurston, 30, gushed about departing the popular reality show with the love of her life when Blake asked her out in the August finale.
“I think everyone can agree that this is exactly who I was supposed to be with,” said Thurston during the After the Final Rose special.
“He fought to be here for me and chose to stay even when I’m telling him to his face that I considered leaving. That he was confident enough to hold both of us till the end, I’m just so lucky. I love him so much” she added.
Meanwhile, Blake shared his plans for traveling with his one and only before the two finally settled down.
“We need to see each other’s lifestyles and our passions, our interests, and then try to see where our anchor spot will be, where all those things can kind of align and make sense for both of us,” he revealed in August. “We’re going to jump around for a bit and experience what works best for us.”
