More disturbing details seem to filter out as Britney Spears finally nears the end of her conservatorship with her father. Spears’s ex-tour manager, Dan George recently revealed how her medical care and treatment were highly controlled and scrutinized by conservators.
“The conservatorship dictated to her who her doctors were going to be, which doctors she was going to see, how often she was going to see them, how long those sessions would be — every aspect of her medical care,” said George during an interview with CNN. George was a producer for all of Britney Spears’s shows while she toured and performed for her album ‘Circus’ during 2008 and 2009.
Even while her father stepped down from being her conservator of person in 2019, he still actively controlled her as being the conservator of her estate. All these ties in very closely with Britney’s own account, where she alleged he put her on forced birth control.
“I have an [IUD] inside of myself right now so I don’t get pregnant. I wanted to take the [IUD] out so I could start trying to have another baby but this so-called team won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out because they don’t want me to have children,” said the 39-year-old Princess of Pop.
Britney Spears previously called the 13-year guardianship of her father ‘mistreatment’ and ‘abuse’. The pop singer recently filed to remove Jamie Spears as her conservator, which gave him the right to dictate and meddle with her life affairs. All this comes soon after her documentary, ‘Framing Britney Spears’ was released in early 2021.
Netflix recently released a trailer for Britney Vs Spears, another documentary on her life to release soon. The next hearing for her current court procedure is on September 29th. The pop star is all set to marry fiancé and Iranian-American actor Sam Asghari soon.
