Firefighters in California were battling a massive fire at San José Home Depot on Saturday night that is visible from outer space.
Firefighters were battling a five-alarm blaze in a business district in the city’s south, and residents were warned to stay away from the area, authorities said.
The home depot fire in California had not resulted in any injuries. Exactly when or how it began is still unknown.
“If you live/work in the area of this fire on [Blossom Hill] and smell smoke, we recommend that you shelter in place. Close all doors and windows to minimize smoke from getting inside,” the SDFD tweeted.
As a precautionary measure, officials had evacuated the area’s pet hospital and established a location where sick animals could be picked up by their owners.
The agency received a tweet from a lady who lived only three miles away from the flames warning that debris was “falling on my property”
This enormous fire was detected by NASA satellite heat sensors, according to a statement from the National Weather Service (NWS).
