The federal government of America has authorized to advance child tax credit payment to the family who is eligible to receive the child tax credit. The qualifying children aged below 6, can receive almost $300 per month for the rest of 2021. The children who are older than 6 are liable to receive $250 per month whereas the rest of the credit will be paid to them in the tax refund of next year.
The child tax credit 2021 is a part of the stimulus bill which was authorized by President Joe Biden under his American rescue act as soon as he took office in January 2021.
If any family wants to determine whether their child qualifies to receive child tax credit or not then you can use the CNET’s child tax credit calculator, specially formulated to assist the dependent families.
In the meantime, the IRS announced that they will be sending out letters to almost 36 million American families who do qualify to get the child tax credit and another wave of letters will be sent out later with the proper estimate of the monthly payment individually.
The families who qualify for child tax credit 2021, might also want to claim the $16,000 for child care expenses that they are liable to receive.
