COVID-19 drastically impacted the world, introducing new norms and changing the world once and for all. After more than 6 months of lockdown, restrictions, limitations, and preventive efforts throughout the world it is evident that people are not only trying but are desperate to go back to their normal lives.

Amid the worldwide efforts to normalize life, people seem to have forgotten that COVID-19 is still there and it will stay. With many countries over the world preparing for the 2nd and 3rd wave of the coronavirus, it’s about time people start adhering to the guidelines provided by WHO and their respective health advisories.

With a total of 35,347,404 confirmed cases and 1,039,406 deaths reported throughout the world as per the WHO coronavirus dashboard, we won’t be able to bear the expense of more waves. As of now, the United States of America (USA) and India are consistently topping the charts in terms of the total number of cases reported in a day.

COVID-19 Threat Still Out There

The USA, on average, is reporting 40,000 COVID-19 cases daily while India reporting an average of 75,000 cases daily. These stats go on to show that COVID-19 still exists and that’s not all, death rates seem to be going up exponentially.

While other countries including United Kingdom (UK) and Canada are speeding up preparations for controlling the second wave, also termed as the “winter wave”, and are trying to reinforce their policies. This is to ensure that life may go on while the coronavirus continues to exist.

Strategic and specified lockdowns throughout many countries with a large population have produced significant results in terms of lowering the average daily reported cases and deaths, and more countries are adopting this method to ensure the efforts to restore normal living pace.

As of now, the preventive measures seem to be working throughout the world, but we must not go out until necessary and should follow all the precautions. This is the only way to prevent the second wave and save precious lives.

The pandemic has not left this planet for good and we need to be on our toes at all times. Countries are trying to take necessary measures in an attempt to nullify it.
