Amid bans and suspension on many major social media platforms, former President Donald Trump has announced in a press release that he is launching his own social app called, ‘TRUTH Social’.

The app will be a rival to ‘Big Tech’ against their ‘tyranny’ to censor conservative sentiments and opinions, according to Trump. The beta launch of the app is set for November 2021, while the app will be ready for a national release in early 2022.

“I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech. We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable.” said Donald Trump in his statement in the press release as chairman of Trump Media and Technology Group.

He added, ”I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech. Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!”

The announcement also included news about other plans that are in development or progressing within the Trump group. The press release started off by announcing the merger between Trump Media & Technology Group and Digital World Acquisition Corp., which will result in TMTG now becoming a publicly listed company.

In addition, they are also set to launch a subscription video-on-demand service called ‘TMTG+’. It will reportedly air content and programs that are ‘non-woke’. Scott St. John, executive producer of ‘Deal or No Deal’ and ‘America’s Got Talent’, is set to lead TMTG+ Corporate Operations, as announced by TMTG.

Donald Trump has been banned and indefinitely suspended on several major social media platforms. This was led by the insurrectionists who attacked the U.S. Capitol in January 2021 to overturn Trump’s election defeat, chanting, “Our president wants us here!”
