Eric Church is providing angry fans a rain check after postponing an upcoming Texas tour to attend the NCAA Tournament.

Eric Church said Friday that he will be returning for a “one of a kind free show” on the 2nd of September in New Braunfels.

“Thank you San Antonio for letting me take my family to this game,” Church wrote on Twitter. “It took me a minute to figure out how and when I could properly express my thanks.”

“The Gather Again Tour” was slated to stop in San Antonio on 2nd April at the AT&T Center.

Concertgoers were disheartened when they came to know that the “Springsteen” singer would be dumping them via a Ticketmaster message.

“As a lifelong Carolina basketball fan, I’ve watched Carolina and Duke battle over the years,” Church said. “But to have them matchup in the Final Four for the first time in the history of the NCAA Tournament is any sports enthusiast’s dream.”

“This is also the most selfish thing I’ve ever asked the Choir [his fanbase] to do: to give up your Saturday night plans with us so that I can have this moment with my family and sports community,” he continued.

The AT&T Center granted spectators ticket refunds, however, many complained regarding the non-refundable travel expenditures on Twitter.

“Is Eric going to pay for their motel and food and travel? He ruined a weekend for a lot of people,” @Douglas89979785 wrote.
