Jessica Campbell, the American actress passed away on December 29, 2020, in Oregon. She had left acting in 2003 and went on to start a career as a naturopathic physician.

She reportedly had gone to visit her aunt in Portland, where she was found dead in a bathroom. Campbell’s aunt couldn’t revive her niece. Her family has reported that she had complained about congestion issues, just before she collapsed to her death.

It is unlikely that the coronavirus could have been a factor, her family said. As of now, her family is awaiting reports from the Multnomah Medical Examiner.

Campbell made her first Hollywood appearance in ‘In the Best Interest of Children’ in 1992 when she worked with Sarah Jessica Parker. She also appeared in ‘Election’ in 1999 which was a comedy film, starring Matthew Broderick and Reese Witherspoon. She was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award, on account of her stellar debut performance in the show.

Campbell also played the role of Amy Andrews in the show ‘Freaks and Geeks’.

She also appeared in several other movies including ‘Junk’ and ‘Dad’s Day’.

Reese Witherspoon, her co-star, in the 1999 comedy, ‘Election’,  tweeted after hearing about her death to express her grief. She mentioned that she was heartbroken, and she was sending love to her family. She also reminisced about working with her on the show Election, and that it was a pleasure.

Campbell’s cousin has launched a GoFundMe page to gather funds for the funeral costs, including the cremation and memorial.

Her cousin also wrote a message to pay her tribute, saying that she was an adventurer, a true friend, and a prankster, and everyone who knew her knew a story about her mischiefs.
