The famous comedian and actor, Jerry Stiller passed away at the age of 92 which was confirmed by his son via a tweet. The American actor was a huge celebrity and was cast in Seinfeld, Zoolander, Hairspray, and numerous other movies and shows.
His son, Ben Stiller, shared a photo of the deceased and wrote that his father has passed away because of natural causes, leaving them sad behind.
Jerry Stiller was married to one of his fellow actor-comedian, Anne Meara back in 1954, and the couple performed as a comedy team, Stiller and Meara. They were quite popular back in the days.
Stiller’s wife died in the year 2015. His son said that he will miss his dad, and that he was an amazing father to him, a loving grandfather to his children, and a dedicated husband to his wife for 62 years.
He also dedicated his autobiography, Married to Laughter, to his wife, whom he referred to as his soulmate. The two of them wrote and performed radio commercials together and were quite successful.
Even though he was popularly known as a comedian he was great at serious dramatic roles and performed at Broadway as well.
The multi-talented star appeared in the 26 episodes of Seinfeld and then in Zoolander movies along with his son. He also got nominated for Emmy awards, because of his remarkable performance in the Seinfeld. Seinfeld also became the reason for his popularity once he was out of a job at the age of 70.
The two of his children followed their parent’s path and his daughter became an actress, while the son became an actor along with directing and writing films.
