Kim Kardashian is extending birthday greetings to Kanye West amidst their divorce proceedings. The actress took to Instagram to post a family picture, along with a heartfelt message for the rapper’s 44th birthday.
“Happy Birthday Love U for Life,” the caption read, embellished with a balloon emoji. Kanye West also received messages from other members of the Kardashian family, including Kim’s elder sister Khloe Kardashian and mother Kris Jenner.
“Happy birthday to my brother for life!!!” wrote the Good American co-founder in a post on her feed. “Have the best birthday Ye! Sending you love and endless blessings!!” Kris Jenner also took to Instagram’s story by posting a picture with West, saying, “Happy birthday #kanyewest!!”
After seven years of marital bliss, the real-life celebrity star had filed for a divorce from the renowned rapper in February 2021 after almost seven years. The couple had taken their wedding vows in Italy in 2014 and are parents to four children: North;7, Saint;5, Chicago;3, and Psalm;2.
In April’s divorce documents, the couple has agreed to take joint custody of their four children without any spousal support. According to the filing, the two have a prenuptial agreement that kept their property and other assets separate throughout their marriage.
A clip released from last week’s airing of her popular reality show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” showcases Kim’s torment on the tragic state of her marriage with Kanye West. “I just can’t do this anymore,” says Kim to sisters Kylie, Kendall Jenner, and Kourtney Kardashian.
She also lamented on her current state and pointed a finger at Kanye West, who allegedly “moves to a different state every year,” while she has to put up a brave front to take care of the kids. Despite calling him out for his movements across the country, Kim affirmed West is an “amazing dad.” She also went on to wish the best for him, stating how he deserves someone that “supports his every move and travels with him and everything.”
Kim had previously been married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000-2004. She later married NBA player Kris Humphries in 2011 but filed for a divorce after 72 days of marriage. In 2014, she married the love of her life, fashion designer rapper Kanye West.
