Kris Jenner revealed in a recent interview that Caitlyn Jenner’s gender transition was a big shock for the entire Kardashian-Jenner family.
The 66-year-old reality star made a shocking revelation that came out as a big shock for the family as they knew “nothing about it” at that particular time.
The 72-year-old Olympic gold medalist came out as a transwoman and had made claims that Kris Jenner knew about her mental and gender crisis very well during the marriage.
Kris Jenner’s comments are contradictory to what Caitlyn said earlier in an interview.
‘I think it was a big shock. It’s a scary thing to go through because you know nothing about it,’ the uniting force of the Kardashian–Jenner clan shared.
The couple has two daughters, Kylie Jenner 24, and Kendall Jenner 26, and remained married for 22 years from 1991-to 2015.
The couple announced their separation back in 2013 and were officially separated in 2015. The Olympian came out as a transgender two years after his separation and started to transition into a woman.
In a recent interview, Kris Jenner revealed that she didn’t have the slightest idea how to deal with the crisis in hands of a spouse transitioning into a transgender.
“It’s a subject I never thought that I would ever have to directly deal with [or] confront [or] be understanding about. Something that I didn’t you know, understand,’ she admitted.
The couple is on friendly terms now. Kris said she and Caitlyn are friends with each other now.
‘We’re fine. Yeah, we’re friends,’ she said, ‘And I see her when she’s at a family thing so it’s, you know, settled down a lot.’
This was not always the case. Caitlyn released her memoir back in 2017 titled as The Secrets of my life where she had allegedly claimed that Kris Jenner knew about her ordeal related to her gender long before her coming out while they were still married. This caused a rift between the two exes.
The interview was an hour-long featuring other members of the Kardashian clan as well. The interview was conducted in light of the new show featuring the Kardashian premiering on 14th April on the online streaming app Hulu.
