Kristen Stewart, while recently appearing in shows for the promotion of her upcoming movie ‘Spencer’, revealed that she and her girlfriend, Dylan Meyer are engaged. She announced the news while on The Howard Stern Show by SiriusXM.
“We’re marrying, we’re totally gonna do it. I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted and she nailed it. We’re marrying, it’s happening.” said Stewart. The couple has been dating for 2 years now, often seen hanging outdoors. Their relationship was not very subtle or kept under covers, but the recent engagement announcement has delighted many fans.
Dylan Meyer is a screenwriter and actress, who has worked on big projects with Netflix such as ‘Moxie’ and ‘XOXO’. Both Meyer and Stewart got romantically acquainted much later in 2019, than when they first met in 2013 on a movie set. Kristen Stewart recalled how she felt after meeting her again, “The day that I met her, all bets were off. I was like, ‘Where have I been and how have I not known you?’ She’s been, like, living in LA alongside my life somehow but not ever converging?”
The couple first sparked marriage rumors in July this year, when they were spotted wearing rings on their left-hand ring fingers, as they have been spotted spending time together publicly multiple times. Meyer also reportedly moved out of her home of 10 years, back in May. she wrote on her Instagram, “This was the place where I really grew up and just being there taught me the kind of lessons that no other person really can about having a space to take care of or sometimes trash but then take care of again. It taught me about what it means to have a home and not just a house.”
In a previous interview with Howard Stern in 2019, Stewart revealed that she was ready to propose to Meyer. Kristen Stewart is starring as Princess Diana in the new and upcoming ‘Spencer’, due to release on November 5. The movie is set in 1991, around the time when Princess Diana decides to leave Prince Charles during a Christmas holiday.
