Fox News report, over 60 parents including residents and students of Loudoun County, were present at the School board meeting on Tuesday, October 12. All came with one stance and that was demanding resignation from Loudoun County Superintendent, Scott Ziegler.
This protest comes as two sexual assault cases were reported in the Loudoun County School district.
“This is not China, this is the United States of America, and we will not be silenced. Remove the superintendent immediately and then resign for your negligence and duplicity. End this nightmare!” one of the mothers spoke.
The first assault case was reported on May 28, 2021, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s department, by a father of a nine-year-old daughter. “We can confirm a May 28, 2021 case that involved a thorough 2-month-long investigation that was conducted to determine the facts of the case prior to arrest. This case is still pending court proceedings. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is not able to provide any documents that pertain to a pending case.” reported by the Sheriff’s office to Fox News.
The father reported his daughter was assaulted in the school bathroom by a boy, wearing a skirt. The boy was charged with one count of anal sodomy and one count of forcible fellatio as per the alleged victim’s father’s attorney, Elizabeth Lancaster.
However, Ziegler in his defense argued, “The predator transgender student or person simply does not exist. We don’t have any record of assaults occurring in our restrooms.” On the other hand, while the parents, one by one made their stance clear to the board, School Board Chair, Brenda Sheridan, and a member, Beth Bart’s have opted not to comment on whether they will accept the plea of the parents and would pressurize Ziegler to resign or not.
