After eight years of dating, Natasha Lyonne has announced the end of her relationship with actor Fred Armisen.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Friday, the Russian Doll actress, 43, disclosed that she and the 55-year-old Saturday Night Live veteran had broken up, stating that she was no longer located in Los Angeles.
‘I had been there living with Fred and during COVID,‘ Natasha Lyonne told the publication. ‘I honestly think we broke up because I wanted a swimming pool.’
The Emmy-nominated Natasha Lyonne continued: “We love each other just about as much as two people can love each other and we’re still talking all the time, but Freddy doesn’t like a swimming pool.
“It might seem like a mundane reason for a breakup, but during that pandemic, you’ve got to get your laps – I’m like Burt Lancaster in The Swimmer. So, I got myself a house with a pool out in Los Angeles. So that’s the real scandal. I guess I finally am an actual bicoastal.”
‘I was going through a rocky road, as we know,’ Lyonne said, stating that she was in her ‘Grey Gardens phase’ in the timeframe.
Prior to the epidemic, the former couple was pictured together in 2020 at the Golden Globes.
She was seen at the Malibu Chili Cook-Off with a mystery guy back in September.
Actors Edward Furlong, 44, and Adam Goldberg, 51, were previously romantically connected to Natasha Lyonne.
Lyonne’s Russian Doll’s second season premieres on Netflix on Wednesday.
