Gov. Newsom’s wife posted a tweet and later deleted it as the governor deals with “family obligations”. His critics find it strange as they wonder where the governor would go without any explanations.

Los Angeles – the wife of Gavin Newsom, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, posted a Tweet on Sunday that saw her urging the residents to “stop hating” on her husband while he has been away from the public eye after canceling the plan to attend the climate summit in Scotland, last month.

A politics news reporter, Sophia Bollag, was the first one who responded to Jennifer Siebel’s tweet. As per her statement, the governor’s office has refused to explain what “family obligations caused him to cancel his trip to the big United Nations climate change conference in Scotland.”

“It’s funny how certain folks can’t handle the truth,” reads Siebel Newsom’s tweet. “When someone cancels something, maybe they’re just in the office working; maybe in their free time, they’re at home with their family, at their kids’ sports matches, or dining out with their wife. Please stop hating and get a life.”

Till now, no reports have been received from Newsom’s office despite sending emails for an immediate response – reported the Fox News.

It is yet to be answered what the governor is up to and where he has been during the entire week – says the Associated Press.

On Oct 29, Newsom’s office made an initial announcement that the governor would attend the UN climate summit virtually. However, he was not present during the conference. In fact, he was last spotted on Oct 27 and then disappeared after receiving the booster shot.

As per the AP news, it is unprecedented for the governor to go out of sight for a week. Most often, such absences come with an explanation even if the governor goes on a vacation.

“It’s a relatively slow time in Sacramento as the state Legislature is not in session and won’t meet again until January. Recent storms mean no major wildfires are burning out of control, as has been the case in recent years” – reported the Associated Press.

Kevin Kiley, state’s Republican assemblyman, tweeted, “I don’t know where Gavin Newsom is and won’t speculate, but it’s pretty strange for the Governor to disappear for 11 days without explanation.”
