North Korea organized a military parade earlier today, on September 9, in Pyongyang in celebration of their 73rd anniversary – reported the country’s media outlets.
As per Rodong Sinmun, the county’s leader Kim Jong-UN attended the parade standing on the podium in Kim II Sung Square, waving at the crowd parading in the front. However, there were no reports of him addressing the crowd.
The experts in North Korea noticed that the leader of the country, Kim, has lost some weight, validating the previous media reports that came in June saying that the leader had shed down weight.
Martyn Williams, the Fellow worker in the 38 North projects, said, “It’s striking how much healthier Kim Jong Un is looking in these photos from yesterday,” also added, “However he is doing it — and there are theories — he looks a lot better than he did a few months ago.”
The media outlets did not receive any news regarding Kim Yo Jong, high official or the leader’s sister.
Rodong Sinmun described the event saying, while the parade was going on, aircraft were seen flying over Pyongyang firing flares, dropping paratroopers from it in the air.
“The members of the parade passing the streets of the capital city heartily responded with the firm pledge to propel the strengthening of the combat capabilities and defend the rear of socialist homeland as firm as a rock,” – KCNA said.
While on the ground, matching bands were leading the parade, including “emergency disease prevention unit,”, research units, and laborers. The event pictures feature a large group of paraders outfitted in hazmat-style costumes, wearing gas masks.
The renowned, secluded country reported to temporarily terminate its ties from the rest of the world in the year 2020 to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus. The country seemed to has made it through it.
To date, no reports reached to news outlets regarding the Covid-19 outbreak have been taken place in the country. However, experts doubt the country’s statement of not seeing any Covid-cases in Pyongyang.
The majority of foreign diplomats and social workers reported having abandoned the country due to strict lockdowns and food shortages on a regular basis.
Earlier in June, a news outlet, KCNA reported that the leader of North Korea, Kim, dismissed many senior officials who failed to impose strict preventions for protection from the Covid-19 virus. The news agency also said, some of the higher grade workers of the Worker’s Party, Korea, got replaced.
