Former President Barack Obama made his first trip back to the White House to commemorate the 12 anniversaries of his Affordable Care Act.
The 43rd president was invited to the White House by President Biden who served as Vice President under the tenure of Barack Obama. The Affordable Care Act is also known as Obamacare.
The event was outshined by the charismatic persona of Barack Obama as he took the reign of the event as soon as he entered his former home.
The two leaders were seen joking around and talking about their time together on the same premises. They hugged, laughed, and quipped while the crowd applauded and cheered their friendly banter when Barack Obama jokingly referred to president Joe Biden as vice-president.
Obama started his anniversary speech by jokingly making a reference to “vice president Biden” and stated “some changes have been made” since the time he left which includes the secret service agents who are now “forced to wear aviators” and “there’s a cat running around in the residence.”
‘Thank you. Vice President Biden. Vice President – that was a joke,’ Obama said to an amused crowd who applauded his playful tone. He further said ‘That was all set up. My president, Joe Biden.’
Joe Biden was seen in videos wandering with a confused look on his face in the East Room. Biden is the oldest president to inhabit the White House and he could be seen standing behind Vice President Kamala Harris and ex-president Barack Obama as they shook hands with people while he could be seen clueless in the video.
The videos surfaced on the internet and went viral but it was not surprising at all as former president Obama still remains one of the most popular persons within the party.
The videos circulating on the internet garner all kinds of criticism and comments from online users.
One person tweeted: ‘I almost feel bad seeing this,’ while another man stated: ‘The man who purportedly got 80 million votes…but can’t find a single friend in a crowded room’
