New Yorkers give mixed reactions to President Biden’s vaccine mandate. President stated that all the companies having employees more than 100 are liable to get vaccinated otherwise get themselves and their workers tested for covid-19 on a weekly basis.

The business hub of New York – Manhattan was completely split over the announcement even though more than 70% of New York County have been vaccinated with at least one dose. Approximately 60% of the population has been completely vaccinated.

New York stated, “I agree with the mandate I think in order to get back to anywhere near normal we need a vaccine mandate in place, and I think to keep other people safe it’s really important to get vaccinated.”

Most of the companies have refused to abide by this new rule as it is expected to affect millions of employees across the state.

Another resident of New York backed up Biden’s decision stating that “the unvaccinated lot is a public risk and can threaten every other person.” He further stated that stricter means by the federal government might compel the non-vaccinated people to get themselves vaccinated and stop being a threat to the vaccinated population.

New York City has announced to upscale the vaccine mandate in order to get more population vaccinated. The decision of the state came along with President Biden’s decision to make it mandatory for businesses having more than 100 employees to get themselves vaccinated and if they don’t want to get vaccinated then get ready to testify for covid-19 on a weekly basis.

The Mayor of New York, Bill de Blasio earlier said that he will make sure that all the employees within the parameters of New York City will have to get vaccinated or else get tested every week for coronavirus from 13th September 2021.

The number of small businesses, restaurants is rapidly growing across the state which is demanding to check vaccination certification from people visiting and working within their premises.
