The new phase of $600 stimulus checks distribution is currently underway. People can now track their payments using the ‘Get My Payment’ tool that was recently incorporated in the Internal Revenue Service website. Users may face some lag and latency issues, because of high internet traffic, resulting in many people using it simultaneously.

According to the IRS, the latest payments were rolled out on January 4, 2021. The organization has advised people to keep a close eye on their mails to look out for debit cards, and paper checks that will be mailed to the eligible individuals throughout January.

After logging in, the recipients need to enter their social security number and address into the specified fields available within the tool. The status of the first stimulus check – issued in March – and the current stimulus check – issued in December last year – will be displayed.

Using the tool, individuals can also find out if their check has been sent through direct deposit in their bank account or through the mail. Moreover, it is also accessible in Spanish.

You are eligible to receive a $600 payment if your income was up to $75,000 in 2019. Couples are eligible to receive $1200 provided their income is less than $150,000.

Omni calculator has introduced a tool to help individuals determine the amount of stimulus they will receive.

Only dependents who are 17-years-old or below are eligible to receive $600, which is $100 more than the amount received in the first relief package. Seniors, college students, and disabled people are not included in the current relief package.

Individuals who do not have a social security number and are not citizens of the US will not receive the stimulus check. However, if they are married to someone who possesses a Social Security number, they would be eligible. This is different from the first round of stimulus checks.
