Radio host Rush Limbaugh is dead at the age of 70. He was suffering from lung cancer.  Limbaugh’s wife Kathryn announced the death of her husband in a radio show.

Limbaugh announced last year about his illness but continued to host his favorite TV show. He was very optimistic that he would overcome the disease.

He is known as one of the pioneers of radio shows and has been hosting shows on the radio for the last 32 years.

His radio show has millions of listeners and has made him an icon in American politics. He managed to influence a whole generation with his staunch support for conservative ideals.

He was criticized many times due to his views on gender and race and has been vocal about various conspiracy theories. With his partisan views, he many times attacked Democrats, especially during the Barack Obama Administration.

He considered the COVID-19 as the common cold and was propagating views that Republicans are using the pandemic as a weapon against the performance of the Trump Administration.

He was a good friend of former President Donald Trump who came out of silence to pay homage to this popular legend of Radio. Trump remembers Limbaugh as one of his earliest supporters during the 2016 Republican presidential campaign, and he praised Limbaugh as a legend for his incredible political instincts and the way he used to express himself in front of a huge audience.

He has been known for his conservative views and his comments about LGBTQ, feminism, and climate change have caused widespread controversy.

Mike Pence has also expressed grief on the tragic death of Limbaugh. He has inspired a generation of Americans, he claimed.

White House press secretary, Jen Psaki said in a press briefing shared President Joe Biden’s condolences to the family and friends of Rush Limbaugh.

With the death of this legend, an era has come to an end. He will be remembered for the decades to come.
