According to the news update, the Russian forces are continuing their attack and making a deliberate appearance towards making their way to Kyiv on Saturday. While the Russian forces also continued to pound the capital along with other Ukrainian cities with artillery attacks and aircraft assaults.

The scenes look like a proper warzone as there had been continuous air raid sirens which were heard across the Ukrainian cities earlier this morning, which urges people to take shelters in Kyiv along with the western city of Lviv, Kharkiv, and the Sumy region in the northside of the country.

According to the reports of NY post, “The massive 40-mile convoy that had stalled on its way to the capital has begun to spread out around Kyiv, satellite photos show, with forces now within 20 miles of the city’s center from the northeast.”

Russian airstrikes are constantly targeting Ukrainian military bases outside of Kyiv on Saturday morning. Moreover, a warehouse where the people and authorities have stored frozen food caught fire following Russian shelling.

Recent statistics revealed that, “A total of 7,144 people were evacuated from four Ukrainian cities on Friday, Zelensky said in a televised address – a notably lower number than managed to leave in each of the two previous days. Nearly 40,000 people fled a number of cities through humanitarian corridors on Thursday, on top of the 35,000 who fled on Wednesday” – Ukrainian authorities said.

“They have transitioned into a new stage of terror, in which they try to physically liquidate representatives of Ukraine’s lawful local authorities,” Zelensky said in a video address Friday night.

In addition, the US and its allies have moved further in order to isolate and sanction the Kremlin, since President Biden announced that it would also be downgrading the trade status with Russia and will probably ban imports of Russian seafood, diamond and alcohol.
