The Sacramento Kings halted the victorious journey of the Boston Celtics on their road trip as the Celtics lost an exciting game. Kings had devised a strategy of keeping the Celtics at an arm’s length and also kept on scoring at the same time.

Jayson Tatum had a scintillating game until he struggled to score a 3-pointer which made him miss all five of his attempts in the first quarter of the game. Boston led the opening quarter of the match, but their key players struggled. Tatum scored and assisted in the first 12 minutes of the match, putting the Celtics into the lead with 26-22 at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter was full of long hauls of offensive futilities from both ends. But it was the time the Kings bounced back to take a 45-44 lead. The Celtics came back stronger to lead 51-47.

A 3-pointer by Tyrese Halliburton set up the lead with only 1.4 seconds left and gave the home team an advantage of 52-51 on the stroke of the interval.

As soon as the third quarter began, Boston snatched the lead from Sacramento to lead 59-55.

The Kings managed to score 10 consecutive points in the third quarter. The final score of the match was 116-111 in favor of the Kings.

It was a shocking defeat for the Celtics. They have had a rousing West Coast road trip since they won their first game against the Golden State Warriors.

The Celtics will be playing their next game against the Los Angeles Clippers in Los Angeles on Thursday.
