The Golden Knights have been shut out by the Ducks for the first time this season. They lost an exciting game by a 1-0 scoreline. Max Comtois scored the winning goal for the Anaheim Ducks. The game was an exciting one.
There was no goal scored in the first half. However, the Golden Knights were given the toughest challenge by the Ducks.
John Gibson stopped 21 shots for the Ducks and played an instrumental role in his team’s victory.
The second period was more entertaining, but neither team was fortunate enough to score early. The Golden Knights controlled the game in the second period, yet they couldn’t use it to their advantage.
In the third period, the Ducks found two opportunities , if it weren’t for Fleury stopping both of shots.
There were a few changes in the Golden Knights lineup. Defender Alex Pietrangelo returned. Nosek was out and Nicolas Roy reserved his spot.
The Golden Knights had announced that goalkeeper Robin Lehner won’t be available for the game this Thursday because he had suffered an upper-body injury. They also called Oscar Dansk as a replacement.
Earlier, Thomas Nosek had tested positive for the COVID-19. He was not allowed to participate in the game. He was not included in the training session just before the game.
Following the development, the NHL announced that all Golden Knights and Ducks players and staff will undergo rapid testing for COVID-19, in addition to their daily tests.
