Anthony Davis, the star player of the Los Angeles Lakers sat out on the bench on Monday against Oklahoma City Thunder due to right Achilles tendinosis.

Earlier, LeBron James and Jarred Dudley were also set to miss out the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to an ankle sprain and a sore right calf respectively.

Davis, 27 has been complaining about his injury for quite some time now. But his absence didn’t have any bearing on the outcome of the game, as the Lakers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder with a 119-112 scoreline.

The young player underwent a medical imaging test and is required to get treatment before he participates in any competitive game. He has a long list of lower torso injuries like right ankle contusion, lower back tightness, right knee contusion, right ankle sprain, right adductor strain, right quad contusion, right calf contusion, and right Achilles tendinosis.

Anthony Davis missed the fourth game of the season due to his medical condition. He has played 21 games so far with an average of 22.3 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. The last time he scored, resulted in the Lakers winning the game against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday. He notched up five rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in 45 minutes of the game.

Along with Davis, Alex Caruso who is a reserve guard also missed the game against Oklahoma Thunder. He had swollen fingers after the Saturday match against Detroit Pistons. There is no immediate concern, but it’s good to be precautious nonetheless. He has missed five games this season already due to safety protocols and his health problems.

The Lakers are scheduled to play another match against the same opponents on Wednesday night. Kyle Kuzma will most probably replace Anthony Davis in the next game.
