The aftermath of the Washington riots continues as some of the staunch followers of Trump resign and follow the steps of their counterparts.
President Donald Trump is the 45th president of the United States of America. He is the only president in 3 decades to lose the second tenure to serve and also the only one to lose runoff elections as well since George H. W. Bush Senior.
Losing Georgia was predicted and it had been whirling in media that Trump will be solely responsible for losing Georgia’s runoff elections; something that has happened in three decades.
Trump’s presidential end is going to be gruesome due to the ongoing events and now the loyalists leaving his side could be the last nail in the coffin which could further demoralize and dishearten the Republican followers.
After the Washington riots, the recent resignation comes from the White House Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Mathews. Earlier in the day; White House Social Secretary Rickie Niceta and Melania Trump’s Chief of Staff Stephanie Grisham also resigned.
Vice president Mike Pence; once considered the right hand of President Trump; also withdrew his support and accepted Biden’s win.
There are many Republicans who are coming out of their shroud and openly speaking against the Trump policies and decisions. Some have gone to an extent of exclaiming that this mob on the Capitol Building was orchestrated by President Trump.
It appears that Trump managed to get rid of his legacy and he will be remembered as the president who not only lost but someone who divided the country. The world leaders had condemned the violence in Washington and are watching the situation closely.
Realizing that there’s no ace left up his sleeve, Trump has finally for the first time accepted his defeat and agreed to a smooth transition.
He not only lost the elections but his credibility and supporters. However, there are still people in his circle who are supporting his baseless allegations and they will also be remembered to be on the wrong side of history.
