Dream mansion of Will Smith caught fire Monday, after several reports came in that fire trucks and ambulances were seen rushing towards his Malibu residence.
Video footage shows that the enormous estate at the Cold Canyon road caught fire around 3:30 pm. Emergency vehicles rushed towards the site closely followed by utility vehicles and other cars.
An eyewitness stated that the fire broke out in one of the many sections of the mansion, which spread fast across the property causing extensive and severe damage because of the flames. According to the eyewitness, there were reports that someone was treated at the scene. Luckily, nobody was hospitalized.
Many close to Smith remained silent on their personal social media accounts and the reps of the star didn’t make any comment either.
Will Smith and the family have been away on the weekend to celebrate wife Jada Pinkett’s birthday with the theme of 70’s roller-skating. The Smiths had reportedly bought many neighboring properties and hired Stephen Samuelsson to convert the area into one big estate of 25,000 square.
The million-dollar mansion even got featured in Architectural digest’s 2011 edition. It was valued for a whopping $42 million when the Smiths thought of selling it off, but ended up keeping it.
The mansion in Calabasas is very near and dear to the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” actor; Will Smith loves spending time there with his family.
According to the reports, the house has been badly affected by the fire. Details are still unknown about how the fire erupted. Neither the actor nor his rep have made any comment regarding the incident. No casualties have been reported.
