The iconic actor Betty White recently turned 97, known for making us laugh and smile. She celebrated her birthday with close friends as they played poker and ate a lot of cake, a sweet and personal way to honor the occasion. She’s been part of several productions over the years such as Golden Girls, Mary Tyler Moore, Hot in Cleveland and many more. Her reputation precedes her as she’s beloved by many for her vibrant energy, good nature, and amazing sense of humor. Even though she’s in her 90s now, she’s always known how to have fun.

Retweeting Ryan Reynolds
Back when he was promoting his movie Deadpool 2, he posted a video to Twitter with the Golden Girls’ theme playing over the movie’s trailer. Betty White, who played the character of Rose Nylund on the show (one of her most notable roles), retweeted the video, showing her support for the movie and actor.
She Embraces Social Media
She was among the various celebrities who teamed up with Tide to help promote the brand during Super Bowl LII. Other celebrities who also participated in the campaign with her included Antonio Brown, Drew Brees, Isaiah Mustafa, and Danica Patrick. The tweets shared by the stars ran alongside TV spots which played during the game.
Her Speech During the 70th Emmy Awards
At the 70th annual Emmy Awards, White was honored for her storied career and everything she contributed to television media. As part of her speech, she poked fun at herself over her age. She related this story where someone was talking about how she’s considered the first lady of television, who shortly thereafter turned to her daughter and said that White was so old, she’s basically the first woman. White also made an innuendo toward Lorne Michaels later.
Dabbing
White joked on Twitter once that she taught Carolina Panthers’ quarterback Cam Newton everything he knows. Newton is known for his dancing, and he’s also known to do the popular move called “dabbing.” As part of the joke, she shared a video on Twitter where she dabs and says that she taught Newton how to do it.
