Hillsborough County Deputy Dies by Suicide
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office announced with deep regret the passing of Deputy Timothy White, 45, who took his own life on Thursday evening.
Discovery of the Incident
Around 5:30 p.m., a family member discovered Deputy White’s body in a vehicle at the Tampa Fire Rescue Headquarters. He had sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Deputy White’s Career
Deputy White had dedicated 15 years of service to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Most recently, he had served at the Hillsborough County Courthouse.
Sheriff’s Response
Sheriff Chad Chronister expressed profound sadness and condolences, stating, “I am devastated to learn that one of our own was suffering in silence. The entire Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office grieves with Deputy White’s loved ones.”
