Assault over Nacho Cheese Machine
A Las Vegas gas station employee, Myron Bullie, has been charged with attempted murder and battery with a deadly weapon for allegedly beating a man with a bat over a broken nacho cheese machine.
Initial Incident and Victim’s Condition
On September 3rd, at approximately 4:10 a.m., police responded to a call regarding a man sitting on the ground in a gas station parking lot near Russell Road. The victim sustained severe injuries, including bleeding from his head, nose, and ears, and was subsequently transported to the hospital with life-threatening conditions.
Witness Account and Bullie’s Statement
A witness who had been pumping gas witnessed the victim lying covered in blood and observed Bullie standing outside. When questioned, Bullie initially claimed that the victim had entered the store and attempted to retrieve excessive cheese from the machine, resulting in its breakage. Bullie allegedly instructed the victim to leave the store, but he later returned.
Bullie’s Escalation and Attack
Bullie then claimed that he escorted the victim out while armed with a bat. He stated that the victim became verbally aggressive, prompting Bullie to strike him with the bat. Bullie admitted to making threats, warning the victim not to indulge in verbal altercations with him.
Bullie’s Response to Victim’s Injuries
When interrogated about the severity of his attack, Bullie stated that if he had struck the victim with significant force, his head would have shattered on the ground, resulting in fatality.
Arraignment and Detention
Following his arrest, Bullie was detained at the Clark County Detention Center. His court appearance is scheduled for September 23rd. The investigation into this incident remains ongoing, with further details expected to emerge.
