Democrats Express Interest in Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)
Some Democrats are beginning to embrace the idea of joining the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), established by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. Several have expressed their support for reducing costs and regulations, seeking to contribute their ideas and ensure their voices are heard. Maye Musk, mother of Elon Musk, sees this development as a step towards positive change. She has voiced her concerns about excessive government waste and spending, calling it “horrifying” and “out of control.”
Growing Bipartisan Support for Cost-Cutting Measures
Florida Democratic Representative Jared Muskowitz has become the first Democrat to join the DOGE-affiliated congressional caucus. He believes that collaboration will provide Democrats with a platform to advocate for bipartisan solutions and oppose unreasonable proposals. Other Democrats have also shared their ideas for improving government efficiency, reflecting a growing consensus on the need for fiscal responsibility.
Government Waste and Inefficiency
Maye Musk has emphasized the extent of government waste, expressing disbelief at its magnitude. She has welcomed the willingness of some Democrats to address these concerns, emphasizing the importance of reducing spending and minimizing bureaucracy. DOGE aims to achieve these goals by July 4, 2026, after which it will disband.
Elon Musk’s Ambition to Save the Planet
In an interview with “Fox & Friends Weekend,” Maye Musk discussed her son Elon’s childhood. She revealed that his primary aspiration was not to accumulate wealth but to contribute to the survival of the human race by mitigating climate change and exploring space. She believes Elon’s goal is “to save the planet” and “explore another planet” to preserve civilization.
