Trump has become a familiar name in the news for one reason or another. The President of America is known for firing back on any criticism on him and with double magnitude. The former Secretary of State and former Exxon Mobil CEO, Rex Tillerson, made some unkind remarks against Trump during a recent public appearance in Houston. Tillerson discussed his difficult and not-so-interesting work experience with Trump. He said that the president is ‘undisciplined’ and that he ‘doesn’t like to read, doesn’t read briefing reports, doesn’t like to get into the details of a lot of things.’
Furthermore, Tillerson said that Trump forced him to do things that were ill-advised or illegal, and he had to explain all this to him. Trump always likes to do things his way, and Tillerson had to caution him that he couldn’t do things his particular way because of the violation of various laws and treaties. According to Tillerson, Trump used to get very frustrated whenever he intervened. This statement was a huge reprimand from a person who was considered a ‘star’ by Trump earlier.
This was said by Tillerson on Thursday and the very next day, Trump responded to him in a more-than-impolite manner. Trump had initially appointed Tillerson as his first Secretary of State but fired him. He called Tillerson ‘dumb and lazy’ and expressed happiness on his replacement. Trump, seemingly satisfied with the current Secretary of State, said, “Mike Pompeo is doing a great job. I am very proud of him. His predecessor, Rex Tillerson, didn’t have the mental capacity needed.”
Trump further stated that Tillerson was ‘dumb as a rock’ and ‘lazy as hell’ and he couldn’t get rid of him fast enough. Just last year though, Trump was quite impressed with Tillerson’s abilities and he declared that ‘we work well together’ and that Tillerson was a wonderful Secretary of State.
