ATLANTA (AP) – Walt Ehmer, the highly respected president and CEO of Waffle House, passed away on Sunday at the age of 58 after a prolonged illness. Ehmer was also an active member of the board of trustees for the Atlanta Police Foundation.
Ehmer’s Rise at Waffle House
Born in 1965, Ehmer joined Waffle House in 1992. His exceptional leadership and dedication propelled him through the ranks, eventually becoming president in 2002. Subsequently, he assumed the additional roles of CEO and chairman, shaping the company’s direction.
